Arthur Vernon Macan was a Champion Golfer, a World War I veteran and most notably a celebrated golf course architect. Macan is credited with designing numerous golf courses in the Pacific Northwest and is arguably the most important person to ever walk the fairways of Royal Colwood.

WALL OF HONOUR MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the “Wall of Honour” is to recognize those members, past and current, who have brought credit to Royal Colwood and to themselves through their actions, either by distinguishing themselves as an outstanding golfer, not only at the Club level, but beyond; i.e. Provincial, National or International or by making significant and lasting contributions as a builder of the game through their volunteer or professional service to the benefit of Royal Colwood and Provincial or National or International golf associations.
